To access premium features, you must create an account. You agree to:

2. Use of the Platform

SelfStudyMate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree NOT to:

Reproduce, distribute, or resell any course content without written permission
Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise platform security
Upload or share harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
Impersonate any person or entity

3. Payments & Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard settings.

Free Trial

New users may explore up to 5 course lessons for free without creating an account. A free account gives access to additional features at no cost.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform — including courses, videos, quizzes, AI-generated content, text, graphics, and logos — is the intellectual property of SelfStudyMate or its content partners, protected by copyright law.

You retain ownership of any original content you submit (such as project submissions), but grant us a licence to display and use it for platform improvement purposes.

5. AI-Powered Features

Our AI assistants (Learning, Academic, Organisational) provide educational guidance. Please note:

AI responses are for educational purposes only and should not replace professional advice
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content
Interactions with AI tools may be used to improve our models

6. Limitation of Liability

SelfStudyMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
